Black History Month

February 17, 2014 - 7:00pm - 9:00pm

DUE  TO  ADVERSE  WEATHER  CONDITIONS,

THIS  EVENT  IS  CANCELED  TONIGHT.

Come and hear Pastor Jermone Glenn courageously speak out for life and address the disproportionate number of abortions threatening the future of Black Americans during the 4th annual Black History Month Life Speaker Series.

This is the first year that Grand Rapids Right to Life will participate in this statewide event sponsored by Right to Life of Michigan.

Glenn is senior pastor of The Revolution Christian Ministries.  He is a husband, father, pastor, mentor, visionary, and a dynamic communicator.  He serves as vice-president of Life Ambassadors with CareNet International and fully understands the plight of Black Americans due to abortion.

Abortion statistics regarding the Black community are staggering:

  • More than 17 million abortions have been performed on Black women since 1973.
  • It is estimated that 360,000 abortions are performed on Black women every year.
  • Roughly 986 abortions are performed on Black women every day.
  • Black people represent 12.6% of the population but Black women have 35.7% of all abortions.

All those who attend Pastor Glenn's inspirational talk are encouraged to bring diapers and baby wipes for donation to local crisis pregnancy centers.
