Golfers Relish Sold-Out Scramble

The 14th annual Prolife Golf Classic was a sold-out event with 144 golfers participating.

Although blistering heat was predicted, a balmy, overcast day greeted the golfers on Monday, June 7, at Pilgrim’s Run Golf Club.

Golfers of all ages and skill levels enjoyed 18 holes of golf, practice balls, food, prizes, on-course games, and an opportunity to Putt with Brenna, chairman of the event.

Jim and Mary Veldheer, Paul Borum, and Andy Weatherhead won first place in the open division.

Ann Natte, Christine Estep, Jeanne Prebble, and Betty Mast won first place in the women’s division.

Roger and Sharon Sneller and Jason and Brooke Sikkema won first place in the mixed division.

Golf Galaxy gift cards were awarded to the winners of the following on-course games:

  • Abbey Licari – Women’s Longest Drive
  • Al Howerzyl – Men’s Longest Drive
  • Janet Langerak – Straightest Drive
  • Bob Huizen – Closest to the Pin
  • Paul Dymowski – Longest Putt
