The last Car Hop Coin Drop of the year was held on Wednesday, August 18. New supporters participated and almost $400 was raised in one afternoon to help the prolife efforts of Grand Rapids Right to Life and the work of five local pregnancy care centers that distribute material goods to moms and babies.
The afternoon was hot and muggy, but volunteers happily greeted the participants, who donated their spare change and some of who purchased items from the Grand Rapids Right to Life store.
This outdoor Coins for Kids drive was an easy way to raise funds and to connect with the community. It was also an opportunity to remind people to pray for women experiencing an unplanned pregnancy, for men to be supportive fathers, and for the unborn, who are often targeted for abortion in a difficult situation.
