Golfers Rally Amid Dismal Weather

ProLife Golf ClassicOvercast skies and spitting rain were unwelcome guests at the 17th annual Prolife Golf Classic held on Monday, June 3, at Pilgrim’s Run Golf Club.

Despite the dismal weather, 98 golfers enjoyed 18 holes of golf, practice balls, a delicious grilled lunch, on-course games, and an opportunity to test their skills against an LPGA player.

The spunky professional golfer challenged players to a game of Beat the Pro. Gutsy golfers had a chance to drive for glory and win prizes. Brenna Reimink won the drawing held among all the competitors.

First place in the open division was won by the tough foursome David Sassano, Dennis Teed, Rick Rossi, and Al Puglessi.

Keeping their crown yet again this year, Ann Natte, Christine Estep, Jeanne Prebble, and Betty Mast placed first in the women’s division.

Bruce and Susan Baker paired with Steve and Jan Grimm to win first place in the mixed division.

Dick’s Sporting Goods gift cards were awarded to the winners of the following on-course games:

  • Susan Baker – Women’s Longest Drive
  • Joe White – Men’s Longest Drive
  • Frank Nerychel – Straightest Drive
  • Scott Siegersma – Closest to the Pin
  • Bob Huizen – Longest Putt

The Prolife Golf Classic was a great opportunity to get away from the office and support a great cause.
