Supporters had a chance to donate their spare change at Car Hop Coin Drop, an outdoor Coins for Kids drive that was held on Thursday, July 17, in the Grand Rapids Right to Life parking lot. This was an opportunity for the entire community to support moms and babies through their generous donations.
New this year, participants were encouraged to also donate diapers. Grand Rapids Right to Life partnered with St. Gianna’s No Cost Baby Boutique to provide diapers for families in need as part of their Top Off the Truck event.
An added element to the day was the presence of Moody Radio, who was on-site with their mobile unit. They provided music, a fun booth to visit, and great conversation with their station representative.
This easy fundraiser reminded people to pray for women experiencing an unplanned pregnancy, for men struggling to be supportive fathers, and for the unborn, who are often targeted for abortion in a difficult situation.
Those who were unable to participate on July 17 visited the office in the days before and after this event to donate their collected coins. and a QR code was provided for people who chose to donate securely online.
Through the generosity of contributors, Car Hop Coin Drop raised more than $750 to help Grand Rapids Right to Life place digital ads that help women facing an unplanned pregnancy connect with a local prolife agency. The proceeds were shared with six local pregnancy care centers that distribute material goods to moms and babies.
