Students are eligible for one of five $300 scholarships to be applied to their Grand Rapids Right to Life bus trip expenses for their trip to the March for Life in Washington, DC.
Held on the somber anniversary of the Roe v. Wade and Doe v. Bolton U.S. Supreme Court decisions that legalized abortion-on-demand in this country, this peaceful demonstration is a witness to the truth concerning the greatest human rights violation of our time. After almost 50 years, the U.S. Supreme Court finally overturned the egregious Roe v. Wade decision. The March for Life is now a celebration of life, and a reminder of the work that must be done to protect life through national and state laws and to achieve the ultimate goal of making abortion unthinkable.
Each year Grand Rapids Right to Life organizes buses to travel from Michigan to Washington, DC, for the largest pro-life gathering in the world.
Contest Requirements
- Students 18 years of age or younger at time of application deadline
- Attending the March for Life on a Grand Rapids Right to Life bus trip
- 250-word essay on how you will utilize this experience in your daily life
- Completed application
- Previous scholarship recipients not eligible
Application Process
- Download and complete the application form.
- Submit the essay and application by December 1.
