Katie DeVries was honored with the D.J. Zarnosky Life Leadership Award from Grand Rapids Right to Life for exemplifying outstanding leadership in the prolife movement.
Katie has been committed to using her gifts to educate herself and others on the reality of abortion. She has been part of Grand Rapids Students for Life and the Drama Team. She has also participated in the Oratory Contest, placing second this year, and the Youth Award, placing first this year.
This award was established in 2001 to honor the memory of Dennis Joseph Zarnosky, who died in a tragic car accident. D.J. was only 16 when he died; however, in the short time he was with us, he was a constant supporter of life and was determined to make a difference in the world.
