A sunny day greeted prolife people as they attended the annual Bike & Hike Festival for Life and Spring Plant Sale on Saturday, May 7.
Now celebrating its 37th year, participants of all ages biked, jogged, rollerbladed, skateboarded, walked, and rode their scooters along the path at Johnson Park in Walker. Children also enjoyed the play area with swings and slides, read the educational prolife signs, had their faces painted, and added a thumbprint to the “Thumbs Up Grand Rapids” project.
Greg and Kathy Proulx entertained the crowd with their fun folk music while people enjoyed a free picnic lunch.
Many people also donated to the Spring Plant Sale, which was generously supported by local greenhouses.
This family-friendly event was made possible by the generosity of our sponsors: West Michigan Bike & Fitness, Brennan Dentistry, Paul Korte Family, James W. Price, and Michael Tarach.
