Daleiden Impresses Sold Out Crowd

David_DaleidenGrand Rapids Right to Life sponsored a free public talk by David Daleiden, the man who exposed Planned Parenthood, at Grand Valley State University’s Pew Campus.

Dubbed “High Stakes:  The Center for Medical Progress vs. Planned Parenthood,” this event took place on Thursday, April 28.

Daleiden impressed the crowd of more than 230 people with his three-year undercover investigation of the trade in aborted baby body parts.  Following his talk, Paul Blewett, president of Life Legal Defense Foundation, spoke about the work of his firm and the need to defend prolife heroes.

Daleiden, founder of The Center for Medical Progress (CMP), is a citizen journalist who recorded undercover video and exposed Planned Parenthood’s senior leadership partaking in a widespread and organized violation of state and federal laws forbidding partial-birth abortions and profiteering from the sale of aborted fetal organs and tissues.

Three pro-abortion companies have filed lawsuits against David Daleiden and CMP.  StemExpress, the tissue supplier featured in several of CMP’s videos, was the first to file a lawsuit. The National Abortion Federation, Planned Parenthood Federation of America, and several California Planned Parenthood affiliates have since followed.

During his presentation, Daleiden shared stories from his undercover experiences, detailed how organizations profit from the sale of aborted baby body parts, and expressed optimism for the future of the prolife movement. He also revealed that he gets his strength and fortitude from his faith and a deep devotion to prayer.

Before the public talk, fifty people enjoyed a private reception with Daleiden in the George and Barbara Gordon Art Gallery.

Through private reception ticket sales and a freewill offering, Grand Rapids Right to Life collected almost $10,000 that was donated directly to David Daleiden’s legal fees.
