More than 100 people attended the annual Focus on Life Breakfast at the Kroc Center on Wednesday, May 11.
Keynote speakers Fr. Tony Russo, Our Lady of Consolation Parish, and Pastor Dave Beelen, Madison Square Church, shared their unique perspectives on reaching their congregations with the prolife message.
Russo spoke about the need to be compassionate when speaking about life issues because of the women, men, and families who are post-abortive. Recent statistics reveal that 43% of church-going women have had an abortion.
Beelen shared that he and his wife were able to adopt three precious children because of the selfless actions of mothers who, when faced with crisis pregnancies, chose life for their babies and placed them for adoption.
Those in attendance had an opportunity to reserve a table for the Focus on Life Benefit Dinner in the fall, which will feature keynote speaker Judge Andrew Napolitano, senior judicial analyst with Fox News Channel.
