David Bridge, a senior at Catholic Central High School, was presented with the D.J. Zarnosky Life Leadership Award and a $500 scholarship from Grand Rapids Right to Life for exemplifying outstanding leadership in the prolife movement.

David has been involved with Grand Rapids Students for Life, prayed outside the abortion clinic, attended Planned Parenthood protests, volunteered at HELP Pregnancy Crisis Aid, and trained as a sidewalk counselor with Sidewalk Advocates for Life.

This fall, David plans to study computer science at Saint Leo’s University in Florida. He hopes his prolife beliefs will help him to “make ethical and moral decisions in the business world as well as to maintain the respect for life in the workplace and promote the culture of life.” Born at just 26 weeks, David considers his life a testimony to the prolife message.

This award honors the memory of Dennis Joseph Zarnosky, who died in a tragic car accident. D.J. was only 16 years old when he died; however, he was always a passionate supporter of life and was determined to make a difference in the world.

Corrie Johnson, DJ’s sister, was present as Bridge received this award from the Grand Rapids Right to Life Board of Directors.
