More than 70 people attended the annual Focus on Life Breakfast at The Bluff Banquet Center on Wednesday, May 10.
Genevieve Marnon, public affairs associate with Right to Life of Michigan, shared her unique perspective on current and future prolife legislation both statewide and nationally.
Marnon stressed that end-of-life care was becoming an important issue that people needed to be knowledgeable about. She explained the need to secure a durable power of attorney for health care decisions, and she mentioned that legislators in Michigan were pushing to legalize doctor-prescribed suicide.
Susan Palazzolo, president of Grand Rapids Right to Life, welcomed the crowd and shared many of the activities that the organization was sponsoring.
Those in attendance had an opportunity to reserve a table for the Focus on Life Benefit Dinner in the fall, which will feature keynote speaker Ann McElhinney, producer of the film Gosnell: America’s Biggest Serial Killer.
