Participants Enjoy Pickleball Tournament

Perfect weather, happy competitors, and a well organized event coalesced to create the largest ever Benefit for Life Pickleball Tournament sponsored by Grand Rapids Right to Life. Almost 100 athletes from all over West Michigan, Detroit and Chicago participated in the fifth annual event, which took place at Belknap Park on Saturday and Sunday, August 19 and 20.

Teams were matched by skill level and a good time was had by all who participated, attended as spectators, and volunteered.

In the women’s doubles division:

  • 4.0 – 4.5 Gold – Patti Jandernoa – Krista Jandernoa
  • 4.0 – 4.5 Silver – Teri Schrock – Selina Stahl
  • 4.0 – 4.5 Bronze – Cheryl Lamport – Cari Brooks
  • 4.0 Gold – Patti Jandernoa – Krista Jandernoa
  • 4.0 Silver – Cheryl Lamport – Cari Brooks
  • 4.0 Bronze – Sharon Fredricks – Marie Gallihugh
  • 3.0 Gold – Marilyn Reichardt – Cinda Walters
  • 3.0 Silver – Mary Beth Witte – Carol Dykhouse
  • 3.0 Bronze – Amy Koetsier – Shelly Brenner

In men’s doubles division:

  • 4.0 Gold – Tom Small – Randy Gable

  • 4.0 Bronze – Brian Haskin – Robert Insley
  • 3.5 Gold – Tom Zandee – Brian Bolt
