Father John Linden, Vocations Director for the Diocese of Lansing, spoke at the Clergy for Life Luncheon at Cathedral Square on Tuesday, April 2.
Fr. Linden’s talk was on Theology of the Body and Spiritual Fatherhood. He spoke about the importance of priests acting as fathers to their congregations and offering love and grace in relationships that are often difficult.
Linden further stressed that leadership require intentional actions, as spiritual relationship building will not occur accidentally.
More than 20 priests, deacons, and seminarians attended the event, which included an opening prayer by Bishop David J. Walkowiak., and an update from Grand Rapids Right to Life on how the organization can support the prolife efforts of clergy in local parishes.
This event was co-hosted by the Diocese of Grand Rapids and Grand Rapids Right to Life.
