The 13th annual Prolife Golf Classic was a stroke of good luck with more golfers than ever participating in this day of fun and fellowship at beautiful Pilgrim’s Run Golf Club.
On Monday, June 1, 144 golfers enjoyed perfect weather, practice balls, prizes, and on-course games. With many restrictions still in place due to Governor Whitmer’s executive orders, the clubhouse staff were very accommodating as golfers started play at staggered tee times from 7:30 a.m. until 4:15 p.m.
Even though there wasn’t an opportunity for all of the participants to congregate together, the competition throughout the day was still fierce but friendly.
Ken Weller, John Weller, Frank Nerychel, and James Buhler won first place in the men’s division.
Ann Natte, Christine Estep, Jean Prebble, and Betty Mast won first place in the women’s division.
Jim Veldheer, Mary Veldheer, Paul Borum, and Andy Weatherhead won first place in the mixed division.
Golf Galaxy gift cards were awarded to the winners of the following on-course games:
- Sandy Lowery – Women’s Longest Drive
- Joachim Lally – Men’s Longest Drive
- Bob Huizen – Straightest Drive
- Bill Kirkwood – Closest to the Pin
- Jack Tietema – Longest Putt
