Sunshine Greets Golfers

Prolife Golf ClassicBlue skies and sunshine greeted the 118 participants in the 16th annual Prolife Golf Classic held on Monday, June 5, at Pilgrim’s Run Golf Club.

Golfers of all ages and skill levels enjoyed 18 holes of golf, practice balls, a delicious grilled lunch, on-course games, and an opportunity to test their skills against an LPGA player.

Golf pro Savannah challenged players to a game of Beat the Pro. Confident golfers had a chance to drive for glory and win prizes. Al Puglessi won the drawing held among all the competitors.

First place in the open division was won by the gregarious team of Max Sieplinga, Jon Reimink, Scott Seegersma, and Dave Visser.

Keeping their crown again this year, Ann Natte, Christine Estep, Jeanne Prebble, and Betty Mast placed first in the women’s division.

David and Jeanne Kortz paired with Chad and Carol Schwierking to win first place in the mixed division.

Dick’s Sporting Goods gift cards were awarded to the winners of the following on-course games:

  • Anne Hoekstra – Women’s Longest Drive
  • Jacob Post – Men’s Longest Drive
  • Jim Yost – Straightest Drive
  • Robert Wensel – Closest to the Pin
  • Tom Mollan – Longest Putt

The Prolife Golf Classic was a great opportunity to get away from the office and support a great cause.
