Base Camp Energizes Students
Two dynamic high school students were stirred to action at the fifth Leadership for Life Base Camp on Friday, August 4.
Tammy Erste, prolife ambassador, led this busy, interactive day.
Students learned about the history of abortion in Grand Rapids, prayed in front of the city’s only free-standing surgical abortion facility, watched and discussed a compelling video about the reality of abortion, and learned how to be persuasively prolife.
Megan Poll, licensed sonographer and clinic manager at Assure Women’s Center in Cedar Springs, talked about her struggles as a teen mom. She shared how that experience led her to be passionately prolife and to volunteer her time at a pregnancy care center providing free ultrasounds to other women in crisis pregnancies.
The students left equipped with the tools to defend their prolife values and encouraged to live their prolife convictions.
